You’ve set the date but don’t yet have venue details? Worried family and friends may book holidays and not be available for your wedding? Then Save the Dates are the perfect way to ensure those important guests reserve the date for your special day. This first piece of wedding stationery is also a great way to try out a design and colour scheme. You can then continue with matching invitations or go for a completely different design later on.
Our layered Vellum Save the Dates are fully customised and finished off with a gold or silver grommet to keep them neatly together.

Printed onto your choice of cardstock and onto a thick layer of 140gsm vellum. We punch a hole in the tops and join the two layers together using 2-piece grommet (often mistakenly referred to as rivets or eyelets). This leaves a neat hole for you to thread through your choice of twine or ribbon. Or leave it as is and let the colour of the grommet shine.
Flat magnets are available to fix to the back to ensure your Save the Date can have a place on a fridge where it can’t be forgotten. Or you may wish to continue the design across the back. Optional envelope liners & matching stickers even give the envelopes a personal touch.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES?
YES! The one question everybody asks us is “Can we change x, y or z?”. The answer is always YES! We fully customise everything so if you’d prefer to word your Save the Dates differently from those pictured then just tell us when placing your order. Perhaps you’d prefer to have less print on the vellum and more on the backing card? No problem, they are fully customisable. Need the colour or design tweaking? Just let us know when ordering. If it’s Mini Invitations you are looking for, please use an invitation listing. We can still match this design, layout, and size! We can even print a design of your own!

VARIATIONS EXPLAINED
BACKING CARD COLOUR: The backing card refers to the main card that the vellum cover is attached to. We have tried and tested many card types and those we currently have available are the best. Our smooth white and ivory card is 330gsm. The lightly textured, Premium cream card is 350gsm and noticeably thicker. Its pale, creamy colour gives a softer look than white, and it adds a real touch of luxury to any design. Finally, we have a wonderful selection of gorgeous Colorplan card. One of the best card types available it comes in a range of colours and has a soft feel to it with a hint of texture.

GROMMET COLOUR: We have 2 main colours available: Gold or Silver. If you require another colour, please just email us and tell us how many you’d like, and we’ll see what we can find from our suppliers.

CARD SIZE: Available in 3 sizes: Mini A7, Medium A6, or large 5x7”. Please see the SIZING tab for dimensions

PRINTING ON BACK:  Add a quote or message on the reverse of your backing card or have a pretty matching design.

CORNER OPTIONS: Leave the corners square or ask us to round them for you.

MAGNETIC STRIP:  Choose to have magnetic strips to ensure your Save the Date can have pride of place on a fridge where it can’t be forgotten.

DAY/EVENING:  If you would like more than one variation of Save the Date such as Save the Evening or a different language, please add them to your basket separately using a different option for each.

ENVELOPE OPTIONS
ENVELOPE COLOUR:  Kraft brown envelopes are included as standard. Other colours are available for a small surcharge. Just click on the colour you would like. We’ve searched for a long time to find the best quality envelopes at affordable prices and are really happy with what we now stock. If you do need a different colour, let us know and we’ll check with our suppliers. There are many other colours available. We just don’t stock them as standard.

ENVELOPE LINER:  We can create matching envelopes liners to fit into your Save the Date envelopes. We will create them to match the listing design, but you can of course choose any other design to compliment your cards. Just let us know when ordering. Browse our other envelope liner listings for ideas. You can have them loose so that you glue them in yourself, or you can opt for us to do that part for you. If you choose to stick them in yourself all you will need is a Pritt stick, time, and patience! They are sized to fit all our v-flap envelopes and are not available for our Premium White peel & seal envelopes. All envelope liners are printed onto white paper.

ADD MATCHING STICKER: A matching sticker for your envelopes gives a hint of what’s to come. Choose from matt heart stickers, or round matt, gloss, or transparent stickers. You choose what goes on the sticker. If you’d like to order extra, you can order extra stickers here.

ADDRESSED ENVELOPES: If you’d like to have your envelopes pre-addressed with your guests’ names & addresses, this is the option for you. Available for the two larger sizes only. We will require a spreadsheet with all the details. Please read the instructions pdf here  for further information or ask us for a template to complete when placing your order.

YOUR WORDING:  This is where you can write any notes about your order. If you feel it’s too much to put all the information in here, feel free to email it to us afterwards at your convenience. The text can’t be edited once you’ve added it to your basket but don’t worry, just email us if you wish to change it. Remember, nothing goes to print without your approval.

Please note that these are simple save the date cards, NOT invitations. If you would like a Mini Invitation, please see our Wedding Invitation listings or contact us for a quote. We can of course do them to match this save the date design/style/layout/size.

Select the relevant options from the drop-down menus and add them to your basket. Please click on the Information icons and the Product Information Tab for an explanation of options available. Either include the information for your cards with the order or email it to us afterwards at your convenience. Attachments must always be emailed.

Once we receive your order a member of our design team will create electronic proofs using the information you have supplied usually within 3 working days. The proofs will be emailed to you. Unlike many companies, we do not limit the number of changes you can make to your proofs within reason. Once you are happy with them, let us know and we will send them to print. Nothing goes to print without your approval. If after placing an order you haven’t heard from us within 3 working days, please get in touch.

We normally print a Save the Date order within 3 – 5 working days after you have approved any proofs (please allow up to 6 working days during busy periods). The whole process normally takes around 7 working days plus delivery time depending on the product and whether amendments are made to the proofs. If you need your order quickly then please select ‘Priority Processing’ from the shipping options during checkout and remember to also select a fast shipping option.

After you have approved your proof, we aim to dispatch your order within 4 - 15 working days, depending on your product type (please see individual product details for dispatch times). Samples are usually dispatched within 1 - 3 working days. Shipping times may vary due to bank holidays or during busy periods.

Royal Mail 2nd Class postage and a standard courier takes between 3-5 working days.  
Royal Mail 1st Class postage takes 2 – 3 working days.
*Next Day Delivery takes 1 or 2 working days (weekends & holidays excluded). 

*Next Day Options are only available for UK mainland. Please contact us separately for shipping to Northern Ireland or any of the other islands or highlands.
If you require any other shipping such as Express or shipping abroad then please contact us separately for a quote.

FAST TRACK ORDERS
*If you choose to add Priority Processing to your order, it will jump to the front of the queue and take priority. We will make sure that your order is processed as quickly as possible from proofs through to printing and dispatch. We will aim to prepare your proofs within 1 or 2 days and will also endeavour to dispatch your order within 1 – 2 full working days from approving your proofs.
