About this product

Our custom non-foil Menu Place Cards are printed on 330gsm white card, 330gsm ivory card or 350gsm premium cream. Click here to download a Spreadsheet Template to fill in and email to us at contact@vintageprints.co.uk after you have placed your order.

Product Information

We can produce these in any of our designs to match your invites. We can alter almost any aspect of the cards so, if you would like something altered, please don’t hesitate to ask. We can also create new designs if you have something specific in mind. Prefer a different font or want the design tweaked? Please just get in touch. Add matching table name/number cards to the tables to complete the set.

Please allow a total of 2 weeks for printing and delivery. If you need a quick turnaround, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. There is an option to expedite your order during checkout by selecting Priority Processing if you need your order in under 2 weeks.

The one question everybody asks us is “Can we change x, y or z?”. The answer is YES! We fully customise everything!

Once you have placed your order, please send the details* in an e-mail to us at:  contact@vintageprints.co.uk.

*Please note that names and menu options must be in a table or spreadsheet (Word or Excel) or in a comma delimited format. The information for each card must be on one line with each line of text for that card in a separate column. For example: Column A, Line 1 = Name1; Column B, Line 1 = Starter1, Column C, Line 1 = Main1; Column D, Line 1 = Dessert1. Then the next card will continue on Column A, Line 2 and so on.

With a spreadsheet it is fine to use commas within the text itself.

We do not correct spelling errors or punctuation. We copy and paste text exactly as you have written it so, please double check everything before you send it to us.

If you do not have access to either MS Word or MS Excel, you will need to use the comma delimited format. Please then write the text out as follows using commas to separate out each portion of text (Name,Starter,Main,Dessert) and without any preceding numbers or symbols:

Bride,Soup,Chicken,Strawberries (GF)
Groom,Smoked Salmon,Beef,Apple Pie

In this case you may not use commas within the text itself (e.g. Chicken, Leeks & Potatoes) as the comma between Chicken & Leeks will act as a line break (does not apply if using a spreadsheet). Please do not leave any blank lines between each line of text. There is no need to put spaces in before the commas. Each line of text represents one menu place card. Each comma represents the start of a line of text on that place card.

Remember that menu place cards serve as a reminder to your guests of what they ordered, not as full menus. Please restrict the length of each course to a maximum of 70 characters including spaces.

These cards are suited for any occasion including birthdays, balls, christenings etc.

Order Process

Once we receive your order a member of our design team will check that we are able to process the information sent. We do not normally create electronic proofs. All orders are sent straight to print and will be dispatched within 6 working days. If, however, you have requested changes to the design or have specifically requested proofs, we will aim to draw up an electronic proof within 2 – 3 working days. The proof will be emailed to you. Unlike many companies, we do not limit the number of changes you can make to your proofs within reason. Once you are happy with them, let us know and we will send them to print for dispatch within 6 working days. Please be aware that Royal Mail postage can take 2 weeks, sometimes longer, to arrive so please select the courier delivery option if you need these sooner.

If you need your order quickly, please select ‘Priority Processing’ during checkout and be sure to select the fastest shipping option available for your postcode. Remember that Royal Mail postage is not guaranteed so we strongly recommend courier delivery if you need these soon.

Shipping

After you have approved your proof, we aim to dispatch most orders within 3 - 6 working days, depending on the product type (please see individual product details for dispatch times). Large orders with assembling, gluing or foil pressing may take a few days longer. All digital foiling takes around 3 full weeks to print. Samples are usually dispatched within 1 - 3 working days. Shipping times may vary due to bank holidays or during busy periods.

Royal Mail 2nd Class postage (no rush) – Royal Mail quote 3-5 working days however in our experience this often takes longer and can take up to 3 weeks. Please do not select this option if you need to receive your order within 3 weeks of approval for print. It really does mean ‘no rush’!

Royal Mail 1st Class postage (not guaranteed) – Royal Mail quote 1 – 2 working days however, in our experience this often takes considerably longer and can take up to 10 days. Please do not select this option if you must receive your order within 10 days of approval for print.

Tracked 24 (tracked but not guaranteed) – Royal Mail quote 1 – 2 working days however, this is not guaranteed and has been known to take a full 10 days. If it’s crucial you receive your order within 10 days of sending your order to print, this is not the option for you.

*Next Day Delivery takes 1 or 2 working days (weekends & holidays excluded).

*Next Day Options are only available for UK mainland. Please contact us separately for shipping to Northern Ireland or any of the other islands or highlands.

If you require any other shipping such as Guaranteed Next Day or Saturday Delivery, please contact us separately for a quote. Most shipping options can be upgraded for a surcharge.

Shipping Abroad
Sadly, Brexit has made it impossible for us to ship to Europe. There are companies available that will handle this for you and provide a UK shipping address for you. Companies such as https://forwardvia.com/ and https://www.shopandship.com/ are just 2 examples. The best option is usually to have your order shipped to friends or family in the UK who can then forward things on for you.

FAST TRACK ORDERS
If you choose to add priority processing to your order, it will flag up for us and will then jump to the front of the queue and take priority. We will make sure that your order is processed as quickly as possible from proofs through to printing and dispatch. We will aim to prepare your proofs within 1 or 2 days and will also endeavour to dispatch your order as soon as possible once you’ve approved your proofs.
Please contact us for availability before placing your order if you need your order within just a few days. Large format items (Foamex/2mm Card) still need a minimum of 4 days to be processed, printed, and shipped. Traditional foil pressing also takes a few days because a plate has to first be manufactured before we can even begin pressing.

Digital Foiling orders (not to be confused with our traditional foil pressing) cannot be sped up once they have been sent to print so there is no need to select priority processing.

Please note that your order will still be dispatched using whichever shipping method you choose during checkout so if you select 2nd class postage, the order will simply slow down once we’ve dispatched it. We recommend selecting our Next Day delivery service (UK mainland only. Weekends & holidays excluded).
