Printed onto your choice of cardstock and onto a thick layer of 140gsm vellum. We punch a hole in the tops and join the two layers together using a 2-piece grommet (often mistakenly referred to as rivets or eyelets). This leaves a neat hole for you to thread through your choice of twine or ribbon. Or leave it as is and let the colour of the grommet shine.
Flat square magnets are available to fix to the back to ensure your Save the Date can have a place on a fridge where it can’t be forgotten. Or you may wish to continue the design across the back. Optional envelope liners & matching stickers give the envelopes a personal touch.
CAN I MAKE CHANGES?
If you are ordering an Electronic Sample, then yes (Generic Samples are pre-printed and cannot be changed in any way)!
SAMPLE TYPES
Generic Sample: a random sample matching your chosen design, as shown on the listing photos, with your choice of ribbon or twine. These cards have random details on them and do not include any of your own personal information.
Electronic Sample: Perhaps you’ve had a Generic Sample already and are happy with the quality but would now like to see what your information would look like in your chosen design. Perhaps you need to have the design tweaked? Then this is the option for you! We create electronic proofs of your chosen Save the Date. You can make changes to your proof for up to 10 days until you are happy with them. We don’t restrict the number of changes within reason. If we don’t hear from you after 10 days, then we will presume that you were happy with the most recent proof and close the order out. Please note that an electronic sample is not suitable for printing at home. It is purely for you to see what your information will look like in your chosen design.
Proofs - Please note that all proofs are shown on a white background irrespective of your chosen card type. Please always read any annotations on your proof with regards to card colour and size.
Personalised Sample – We do not print single personalised samples of vellum save the dates. If you wish to see the quality and also your own details, please purchase both a Generic Sample and an Electronic Sample.
VARIATIONS
BACKING CARD COLOUR: The backing card refers to the main card that the vellum cover is attached to. We have tried and tested many card types and those we currently have available are the best. Our smooth white and ivory card is 330gsm. The lightly textured, Premium cream card is 350gsm and noticeably thicker. Its pale, creamy colour gives a softer look than white, and it adds a real touch of luxury to any design. Finally, we have a wonderful selection of gorgeous 350gsm Colorplan card. One of the best card types available it comes in a range of colours and has a soft feel to it with a hint of texture. Not all card colours are suitable for all designs so if unsure, please ask.
GROMMET COLOUR: We have 2 main colours available: Gold or Silver. If you require another colour, please just email us and tell us how many you’d like, and we’ll see what we can find from our suppliers.
CARD SIZE: Available in 3 sizes: Mini A7, Medium A6, or large 5x7”. Please see the SIZING tab for dimensions

If you’d like a tassel, you can select the colour here. They really add a special something to your cards.
ENVELOPE OPTIONS
ENVELOPE COLOUR: Kraft brown envelopes are included as standard. Other colours are available for a small surcharge. Just click on the colour you would like. We’ve searched for a long time to find the best quality envelopes at affordable prices and are really happy with what we now stock. If you do need a different colour, let us know as there are other colours available. We just don’t stock them all as standard. Suppliers discontinue variations without notice so if we find we can no longer get your requested colour, we’ll let you know.
ENVELOPE LINER: Envelope liners are on white or cream Premium paper (great for our Premium cardstock). They come either Loose where they are pre-cut & creased, ready for you to stick in yourself, or fully assembled where we do the fiddly work and stick each one in for you. We create them to match your chosen design but if you’d prefer a different design to compliment your cards, add a note to your order. Choose any design you like. Browse our other envelope liner listings for ideas. They are sized to fit all our* V-flap envelopes and are not available for our Premium White peel & seal envelopes.
MATCHING STICKER TO SEAL YOUR ENVELOPE: A matching sticker for your envelopes gives a hint of what’s to come. Choose from matt heart stickers, or round matt, gloss, or transparent stickers. You choose what goes on the sticker. If you’d like to order extra, you can order extra stickers here.
